In this treatment, pieces of muslin cloth are soaked in comfortably warm herbal oils squeezed dry and rubbed in a rhythmic way on the patient who lies on Dharapathi. As per directions of the physician it is done for 45 - 90 minutes per day lasting for a period of 14 - 21 days so that the body will absorb maximum of the medicated oil. This treatment will prevent ageing, scales, wrinkles and is an effective treatment for rheumatic complaints like arthritis and paralysis, sexual weakness, nervous disorders etc.

It involves massaging the whole body or any specific part with small muslin pouches filled with njavara to induce sudation. It is applied for about 60 - 90 minutes per day for a period of 14 days.
